On the occasion of their Golden Jubilee reunion, the Class of 1969 have established an award – Batch of 1969 Innovation Fellow (Award) – to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
Many interesting projects at IITD could lead to innovative products. However, students doing these projects find it difficult to build on them after they graduate as this would require using personal resources and they may not be able to find any venture capital support. The alternative of a high paying job is more attractive than the risks associated with becoming an entrepreneur.
The Innovation Fellow award addresses this gap by providing an annual stipend to a graduating student (any discipline, any program) to enable them to continue working on their near finished project to bring it to a level of preparation for serious consideration by investors.
By contributing to this fund you can help increase the number and value of such awards.
