Prof Iyer’s colleagues remember him as a “gem of a person”. He was a stalwart in the area of building contracts and contract management and was instrumental in getting new constructions on campus.

Prof Iyer, died after a long battle with CoViD on 12th June 2021. He was a valuable member of the community and of the administrative team. IIT Delhi wishes to honor this very hardworking and sincere colleague by creating the “Prof K.C. Iyer Chair” in Civil Engineering.
